Our Story, Mission, and Core Values
'i mi' Community Advocacy Support Services was founded in 2026 to address the pressing needs of vulnerable people in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea by providing trauma-informed, needs-led support. Our mission is to foster dignity, respect, and well-being through inclusive services encompassing healthcare access, advocacy, education, and community integration. Guided by values of empowerment, compassion, integrity, and resilience, we seek to build lasting positive impact for individuals and the broader community. Our name 'i mi' is Welsh and simply means 'for me'. These services will be for you, and we will be here with you and for you.
Our flagship initiative, the Warmth and Relief Hub, runs every Saturday at The Haven in Neath — offering practical support, signposting, and community connection to anyone who needs it. For many people, the Hub isn't just about the grab bag — it's a chance to sit down, be listened to, and know that someone's glad to see them.
